Save the Turkeys

Sunday night Emily and I whipped a home made feast for Thanksgiving. We made all the food from scratch including a ton of stuffing, fried yams, salad, cranberry sauce, vegan pumpkin pie, and a faux turkey that Emily carved from a block of veggie pate. You really have to see the pictures of the faux turkey – it was quite amazing. I thought she was joking when she said she was going to carve a turkey, but she dazzled me with her creativity.

Now we have left-overs to last the rest of the week.

Love the turkey! The veggie pate was very good, even when not in a shape of a turkey.
Bon Voyage to Emily and good luck in Africa.
