What character would each leader be?
Stephen Harper is clearly an android. He has the same emotional range and rigid hair piece as Data. He’s just better at lying. “If you prick me, do I not… leak?”
Michael Ignatieff is a dead-ringer for Sarek, Spock’s father. “It would be illogical for a Vulcan to show anger! It’d be illogical! illogical! illogical! illogic…!”
Jack Layton has gone where no leader has gone before, a Star Trek convention. He’s definitely channelling Captain Jean-Luc Picard in that uniform. “Make it so.”

Gilles Duceppe is like lot like Q – mischievous, slightly malevolent, but strangely amusing. “All good things must come to an end…”
Any ideas on what character Elizabeth May would be?
For Elizabeth May’s character, I have Facebook votes for…
“Tribble, claims to be multiplying fast but has still only been seen in one episode.”
“Guinan. A recurring character who is never credited, but offers wise council.”
“Uhura on the original series: a woman is whip smart, competent, breaking new ground….but who’s constantly kept out of the action by the mysogynists in power.”

Great comparisons. I wonder what Picard would look like with a mustache…
I’d say Elizabeth May is a fusion of Kathryn Janeway‘s leadership (especially in a male dominated role) and Kes‘s connection with nature (spent a lot of time in the airponics bay). Kes also has telepathic powers just like May. (You knew about that, right?)
Physically, though, neither is a very good fit. 😦

Funny, I was thinking the same thing, but I felt weird comparing her to a male alien.
