On Tuesday, I went and saw my first Vancouver Fringe play with Daniel and Nim. We saw Canadian Content presents “Canadian Mounties vs. The Atomic Invaders!”

It was a decent start to the Fringe. Not the funniest play I’ve seen, but some decent sketch comedy. My biggest complaint is that the pre-recorded video bits were funnier than the live acting – I came to see theatre, not watch tv. The group obviously has potential for funnier stuff, but I didn’t see anything memorable during the 1 hour performance. The bits with Kim Jong Il were funny, but where were the Atomic Invaders?

Tonight I’m seeing Colossus with Emily and some work people. It’s been getting rave reviews, so I hope it lives up to the hype.
