Time to cleanout the collection of links and fun facts that have been stagnating in my Google Notebook and post them to my blog.
Americans consume a frick load of oil. And I have 2 handy graphs to prove it. Here and here.
Luckily, the solution to global warming is (no, not convincing Americans to consume less oil) – getting cows to fart less.
Or we could just Eat Less Meat!“A study commissioned by the National Institute of Livestock and Grassland Science in Tsukuba, Japan, and published in the Animal Science Journal, has found producing 2.2 pounds of beef generates more carbon dioxide than an average car does every 160 miles.”
Or maybe Drive Less – nearing 17% of your income. Or even Walk More – a very cool app that calculates how walkable your neighborhood is. My apartment scored a 90.
But really, lefties are a bunch of hypocrites, so what do I know.
Grr.. the walk score site seems to have errors with waterloo addresses 😛
