Had a great time at Folk Fest this weekend. The weather was awesome and the bands were rocking.

My musical discoveries of the weekend were:

The best workshop we attended was early on Saturday morning with Kathleen Edwards, Del Barber, Justin Rutledge, and Hannah Georgas.

There were thousands of bikes there. This bike corral had over 2000 bikes inside it, plus another 2000+ chained to bike rack and posts outside. That’s a lot of cyclists who would have used the new Point Grey bike route to get to Jericho Beach if it was ready. When Grant Lawrence asked the crowd if they wanted city council to approve the new bike route on Saturday night a huge cheer went up.
