I can’t believe he’s gone. It hurts to think about, and I can’t believe I’m getting choked up about a politician. Jack Layton was an amazing man. May his hope, courage, and ideals live-on in future politicians.

Yeah, I was overcome with grief this morning, too, when I heard the news. One of the few politicians who wore his heart on his sleeve and cared. He will be missed.

I have always respected, admired, trusted and just flat out liked Jack Layton.
There are few politicians who you can say just one of those, but Jack fit them all.
As long as I’ve been old enough to care about politics, Jack’s name has always been there and it seems empty already without him.
I still am speechless.
